   A U D I E N C E   M E M B E R,

For a number of complicated reasons, I have decided not to
continue as Director of Queens College Evening Readings.

Instead, I’ve decided to teach full time, starting in the fall of 2017.

This means that I will no longer be involved with the series.

I want to take this opportunity, though, to thank all of you for coming
here to the Evening Readings, and for all the wonderful evenings
we shared together over the past forty-one years.

I loved those evenings we had here together.

When I started the Evening Readings in the spring of 1976,
I had no idea it would become the kind of series it became,

some forty-one years ago.

I also want to thank all of the writers and speakers
